Camper Fire

At 0621 hours on October 4, Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Willow Street in New Garden Township for a reported camper on fire.

Engine and Ambulance 23 responded after dispatch with Longwood's Engine 25-2 attaching to the incident to assist.

Southern Chester County Regional Police arrived and confirmed a camper on fire.

Personnel from Engine 23 stretched a 150' bumper line to attack the fire. Longwood's Engine arrived and set up to supply additional water to Engine 23.

Crews from Squad 23 and Engine 25-2 were tasked with overhaul and soaking down hot spots inside and outside the camper. The fire was placed under control at 0634 hours, and the County Fire Marshals were requested to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire along with the New Garden Township Fire Marshal.
