At 1446 hours, Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to the intersection of Gap Newport Pike (Route 41) and Sharp Road in New Garden Township for a two vehicle auto accident with one vehicle overturned.

Deputy 23 and Ambulance 23-1 made the response right after dispatch and were alerted by Chester County Fireboard of two vehicles with one on its roof and unknown entrapment. Squad 23 made the response shortly after and it was determined that there was no entrapment from the vehicle that overturned onto its roof. Deputy 23 and Ambulance 23-1 arrived and confirmed the report. Deputy 23 held Avondale Command and dispatched for Fire Police to assist with traffic control at the scene.

Traffic 23 made the response and assisted crews on the scene with traffic control on Route 41. Fortunately, no one on the scene was injured during the collision. Crews awaited Blittersdorf's Towing for the two vehicles and then Deputy 23 cleared command and crews became available at 1533 hours.
