Just before 5 o'clock on Monday evening, Avondale Fire Company along with West Grove Fire Company for the rescue and Medic 94, were alerted to the New Garden Airport for a reported aircraft accident.

Chief, Deputy, Engine 23-1 and Ambulance 23-1 all made the response after dispatch and were alerted by the Chester County Fireboard that staff at the airport witnessed a small personal aircraft run off the runway while landing.

The aircraft only had the pilot inside whom was fortunately not injured from the impact. Crews from Avondale arrived and confirmed the report with Chief 23 taking Avondale Command. Chief cleared the whole assignment shortly after it was determined that no fire or EMS services were needed on scene.
