Shortly after 11 PM on Friday night, Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to the intersection of W. Baltimore Pike and Chambers Road in New Garden Township for a reported auto accident.

Initial reports stated that a sedan had struck a telephone pole. Arriving units from Southern Chester County Regional Police Department and Chief 23 confirmed the report. Chief 23 found a total of three victims with one patient having a severe head injury. ALS was immediately added, which brought Medic 94 to the scene. MICU 125 was also added to the incident as a second transport unit. Chief 23 established "Avondale Command.”

The vehicle had collided with a telephone pole which resulted in heavy front end damage, as well as causing a crack to the pole. The vehicle was towed by Blittersdorf's Towing. Avondale Command sent a notification to PECO Electric to come and replace the pole to prevent any further issues with the damaged one.

EMS treated two patients whom were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Once the vehicle was towed and debris was removed, Avondale Command was terminated and fire crews cleared the scene shortly before midnight.
