Around 1500 hours, Avondale Fire Company was alerted for an engine to assist the West Grove Fire Company for wires down on Glen Road in London Britain Township. Engine 22-1 arrived prior to find multiple electrical poles down with an active fire in the trees, as well as electrical hazards in multiple homes. Engine 23-2 arrived with 5 personnel, and began assisting WGFC crews with checking homes for electrical hazards. Once PECO arrived and secured the power, Engine 23-2 put a 1.75 bumper handline in service to extinguish the fire, and soon after was released by West Grove’s Lieutenant Cazzilo.
