Santa Returns to North Pole

Yesterday marked the last of AFC’s 2020 Santa Runs, and subsequently Santa’s return to the North Pole after spending the past few weeks in the Avon Grove/Kennett area visiting the residents of our communities.

Like all other things in 2020, our volunteers were presented with a few sudden challenges such as uncleared roads due to the winter storm we recently experienced. Due to these unsafe road conditions, Santa’s volunteer helpers decided it would be in the best interest of Santa’s safety and that of the residents to not risk traveling on unsafe roads.

Additionally, our volunteer crews also were dispatched to emergency calls throughout our district which required the Santa route to be deviated from while we responded.

Santa would like to thank the volunteers who helped show him all the wonderful residents:
Captain Mike Rochester
Hoseman Anton Bilski
Firefighter Joey D’Ambrosio
Firefighter Ulises Aguilera
Firefighter Jack Wharry
Firefighter Javier Garcia Hernandez
Firefighter Tyler Winters
PIO/FP Officer T.J. Male

We are extremely thankful for the community’s understanding of our situations and support of our volunteers and firehouse through the donations that were made to our organization. Any additional donations can be made to our PayPal or Venmo accounts, as well as being made directly to Santa through mail at 23 Firehouse Way Avondale, PA 19311.

On behalf of Santa and the volunteers of Avondale Fire Company, Merry Christmas to all and we wish you a safe and happy New Year.
