On Friday, September 27th at 20:34, Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to an overturned vehicle accident on the Route 1 bypass. Upon arrival, Sergeant 23 (Hedrick) upgraded the call to confirmed entrapment while the fire police provided traffic control. Rescue 23 and Engine 23-1 crews worked quickly to extricate the trapped occupant. The occupant was extricated within 5 minutes of arrival. Units remained on scene to provide scene lighting for PSP and Blittersdorf’s towing. Lt. 23 (Rochester) terminated command of the incident at 22:47.
